Business Development Manager – Electrical Equipment (Congo DRC)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our electrical equipment portfolio in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will be responsible for expanding our market presence, building strong relationships with distributors and key industrial customers, and driving revenue through new project opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new market segments and dealer/distributor networks across the DRC.
• Lead project sales, tendering processes, and key‑account management for electrical cable solutions.
• Negotiate contracts, achieve sales targets, and ensure timely collection of payments.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, consultants, and industrial clients to secure business.
• Provide strategic input for expanding the company’s renewable‑energy product portfolio.
• Mentor and, where required, manage a local sales team to meet performance goals.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of sales or business development experience in the electrical or renewable‑energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical cables and their applications.
• Proven track record with distributors, dealers, EPC contractors, OEMs, utilities, and industrial customers.
• Experience in project sales, tendering, and key‑account management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
• Industry experience in cables/electrical products is highly preferred.
