Card Migration PMO

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Card Migration PMO to lead the planning, governance and execution of a complex card migration programme for a leading global payments network, embedded with a client in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role requires senior delivery expertise, PMO rigor and deep technical knowledge of card migrations, with fluency in French.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end card migration planning, readiness tracking, cut‑over coordination and post‑migration stabilization.
• Manage the PMO governance structure, including workstreams, milestones, RAID logs, decision forums, status reporting and escalation paths.
• Coordinate technical delivery across the client, processors, card‑management system vendors, personalization bureaus and other third parties.
• Develop detailed migration plans covering data mapping, portfolio segmentation, BIN/product configuration, testing, certification, operational readiness and go‑live activities.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical work‑plans with clearly defined dependencies.
• Drive issue resolution across functional, technical, operational, compliance and scheme‑related workstreams.
• Prepare executive‑level status updates, steering‑committee materials, dependency trackers and management reports.
• Support migration testing cycles, including test planning, defect tracking, UAT, operational validation and production readiness reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex card migration, card platform transformation or scheme conversion programmes.
• Strong understanding of card issuing, acquiring, card‑management systems, processor integrations and payment‑scheme requirements.
• Demonstrated PMO leadership with governance setup, programme reporting, planning, dependency management and executive stakeholder coordination.
• Technical project‑management experience managing technology teams, vendors, testing cycles, integration activities and cut‑over plans.
• Fluent French language proficiency for confident engagement with French‑speaking stakeholders.
