Cargo Ballast Officer / Operator – FPSO Offshore

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Cargo Ballast Officer / Operator to manage cargo and ballast operations on a Liberian‑flagged FPSO. The role involves overseeing daily loading, unloading and transshipment activities while ensuring compliance with safety and documentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily cargo vessel operations, including loading, unloading and transshipment.
• Supervise verification of cargo documentation in line with regulations.
• Prepare monthly container storage and verification reports and invoice‑related documentation.
• Report any incidents promptly and monitor safe storage of hazardous or dangerous goods.
• Liaise with the PFSO to ensure incoming and outgoing documents meet compliance requirements.
• Assist staff with cargo delivery and conduct regular stock‑taking on‑shore and offshore.
• Provide statistical data to the Principal Statistics Officer and perform other duties as directed by the Divisional Manager.

Required profile

• Valid Seaman Book or STCW certification (mandatory).
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Current BOSIET and OPITO certifications.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts, 7 days a week, on a 28/28 or 35/5 rotation.
