Commercial Manager – Industrial Reagents & Fuels

About the role

Auremin is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead buyer relationships for sulphuric acid and diesel across the Katanga copperbelt. The role is field‑based, requiring frequent travel to mining and processing sites, and focuses on converting a strong regional network into committed offtake contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Own and expand buyer relationships for sulphuric acid and diesel throughout the Katanga copperbelt.
• Sell to copper‑cobalt mining and processing operators, including SX‑EW plants and their procurement teams.
• Build and maintain a commercial pipeline aligned with plant consumption rates and contract cycles.
• Negotiate supply terms and close volume contracts that meet company commercial hurdle rates.
• Develop senior relationships with procurement, supply chain, and operations decision‑makers.
• Collaborate with internal sourcing, logistics, customs, finance, legal, and operations to ensure supply security and integrated commercial terms.
• Provide market intelligence on demand, competitor supply, pricing, and consumption trends.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data and prepare regular commercial status reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, procurement, or business development, preferably within the mining or industrial reagents sector.
• Strong network among mining and processing operators in the Katanga region.
• Proven ability to negotiate and close volume contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with senior decision‑makers.
• Understanding of reagent and fuel procurement cycles and contract structures.
