Contracts Officer – Ebola Emergency Response (6 months)

About the role

The Contracts Officer will support UNICEF’s emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Contracts Specialist/Chief of Supply and Logistics, the incumbent will focus on contract management for services required to protect children and vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including sourcing, drafting, negotiating and administering service contracts.
• Coordinate contract activities with programme teams and implementing partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government agencies, national systems and partners on supply‑chain and contract‑management matters.
• Support innovation, product sourcing and market engagement to meet emergency response needs.
• Ensure compliance with UNICEF procurement policies and donor regulations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in contract management, procurement or supply‑chain support, preferably in humanitarian or health emergencies.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills with the ability to work in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Excellent communication and cultural sensitivity, especially in conflict‑affected settings.
