Country Growth Operations Lead

About the role

Wave is expanding its footprint across West Africa and needs a dynamic leader to drive user growth and manage agent operations. As the Country Growth Operations Lead, you will be based in one of our early‑stage markets and work closely with senior leadership to scale the business to millions of active users.

Key responsibilities

• Drive user acquisition by optimizing distribution strategies and leading growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with the CEO, Country General Manager and other leaders to align on growth priorities.
• Enhance distribution processes through partnership with product and engineering teams, leveraging data and technology.
• Oversee the agent network – acquisition, setup, and liquidity management – to meet user demand.
• Build, mentor and lead high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Manage business and financial KPIs in line with overall objectives.
• Champion Wave’s values and embed them within the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading growth or operations functions in a fast‑moving environment.
• Ability to relocate to a West African country and travel 60‑80% within the market.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with senior leadership.
