Country Logistics Manager – Kinshasa

About the role

Acted is seeking a Country Logistics Manager to lead logistics operations across the Democratic Republic of the Congo, based in Kinshasa. The role ensures the efficient delivery of humanitarian assistance, coordinating transport, warehousing and procurement in a complex emergency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement country‑wide logistics plans aligned with project objectives and donor requirements.
• Manage transport, storage, and distribution of relief items, ensuring timely and secure delivery to affected populations.
• Coordinate with field teams, partners and operational partners to optimise supply‑chain flows.
• Oversee logistics budgeting, reporting and compliance with US State Department, ECHO, FCDO and other donor standards.
• Lead, mentor and supervise the logistics team, fostering a results‑driven culture.
• Monitor performance indicators, conduct risk assessments and adapt operations to evolving security and climatic conditions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in humanitarian logistics and supply‑chain management, preferably in the DRC or similar contexts.
• Strong understanding of the humanitarian‑development‑climate nexus and ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on pragmatic solutions and measured risk‑taking.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and partnership‑building skills.
