Country Manager – Logistics & Mining Operations

About the role

We are seeking a senior Country Manager to lead our logistics and mining support operations at a remote mine site in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role combines strategic board‑room leadership with hands‑on operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams across Finance, HSE, Clearing and Workshop functions.
• Ensure fleet and equipment availability of at least 90% through maintenance planning and daily job allocation.
• Own the full P&L and balance sheet, guarantee tax compliance and deliver robust monthly financial reporting.
• Identify and develop new business streams such as equipment handling and clearing services, supported by detailed financial modelling.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, cut costs and boost overall performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics or mining, preferably in the DRC or similar remote environments.
• Full professional fluency in French and English.
• Proactive, flexible leader capable of influencing stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling and analytical abilities.
• Experience with SAP or SAGE ERP systems.
