Dispatch Supervisor – Mining Operations

About the role

The Dispatch Supervisor reports to the Dispatch Engineer and is responsible for managing the Dispatch Center to maximise safety, fleet productivity and overall mining performance. The role oversees the Modular Mining Fleet Management System and related technologies, ensuring real‑time production monitoring and optimal equipment allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily Dispatch operations, ensuring reliable and accurate use of the Modular Mining/FMS system.
• Monitor real‑time production, identify delays or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Configure and maintain system settings such as routes, priorities, material types and equipment assignments.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly operational reports for Production, Planning and Management.
• Lead, train and mentor the Dispatch team while promoting a safety‑first culture.
• Coordinate with IT/OT, HSSE, Maintenance and other departments to ensure network, GPS and communication infrastructure availability.

Required profile

• University degree in Mining, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems or related field.
• At least five years of experience in mining dispatch, fleet management or production control, preferably with Modular Mining/Dispatch systems.
• Proven experience supervising operational teams in an open‑pit mine environment.
• Ability to work in a remote, demanding mining setting and communicate effectively in French (English a plus).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and Modular Mining DISPATCH.
• Understanding of GPS, radio, network and related dispatch hardware.
• Data analysis and reporting skills for production and performance indicators.
• Ability to analyse cycle times, equipment utilisation, queues and production variances.
• Problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
