EU-Africa Space Policy & Institutional Expert

About the role

The position supports policy dialogue, institutional cooperation, programme governance and coordination between European and African stakeholders in the space sector, contributing to the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage policy dialogue between EU and African Union institutions.
• Coordinate institutional partnerships and steering mechanisms for the programme.
• Support governance structures and ensure alignment with EU space policy and African space governance frameworks.
• Provide expert advice on institutional processes, inter‑institutional dialogue and programme implementation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in international relations, public policy, law, political science, space policy or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in international cooperation, public policy or institutional advisory work.
• At least 4 years working on EU and/or African Union policy frameworks and institutional processes.
• Strong knowledge of EU space policy and African space governance architecture (AfSA, AUC, RECs).
• Excellent command of English; French or Portuguese is an asset.
