Field Engineer – Infrastructure Projects in Kiswishi City

About the role

The Field Engineer will lead the installation and commissioning of infrastructure and utilities for Kiswishi City, a master‑planned Special Economic Zone on the outskirts of Lubumbashi. Reporting to Rendeavour’s Group Heads of Delivery and Utilities, you will ensure that all works comply with design specifications and corporate governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the installation of city infrastructure and utilities, ensuring full compliance with designs and the Rendeavour Corporate Governance Handbook.
• Provide regular site feedback and practical recommendations to design engineers and senior delivery leaders.
• Work closely with the Kiswishi City Site Controller on logistics, workforce operations, and security matters.
• Deliver concise weekly progress updates, including photographs, sketches, and on‑site calls with senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate geotechnical investigations and liaise with the soil laboratory.
• Ensure alignment of all land‑survey activities with the project surveyor.
• Supervise construction works such as box‑culvert installations, in partnership with the local community infrastructure team.
• Review plot owners’ house designs for compliance with design guidelines and provide guidance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction and infrastructure projects on site.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior delivery, design, and country‑head teams.
• Strong coordination skills with logistics, security, survey, and geotechnical teams.
