Field Operations Officer (CCCM) – Bunia

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Field Operations Officer specialized in Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) to support humanitarian operations in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role will contribute to IOM’s inter‑agency response, working closely with UNHCR and other partners to address the needs of displaced populations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor CCCM activities in displacement sites, ensuring safe and adequate shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene services.
• Support the implementation of the Displacement Tracking Matrix and provide timely data for operational planning.
• Liaise with local authorities, NGOs, UN agencies and community leaders to facilitate effective camp management.
• Prepare situation reports, operational updates and recommendations for senior management.
• Contribute to the strengthening of IOM’s surge capacity in the field, including training of staff and partners.

Required profile

• University degree in humanitarian affairs, social sciences, public administration or a related field.
• Relevant experience in CCCM, shelter, or displacement management, preferably in the DRC or similar contexts.
• Ability to work in insecure and rapidly changing environments.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
