Financial Specialist – Special Projects and Major Grants

About the role

The Financial Specialist for Special Projects and Major Grants will oversee the financial management of large‑scale initiatives and grant funding within World Vision Democratic Republic of Congo. This position ensures that all financial activities align with the organization’s commitment to stewardship, accountability, and compliance with national and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, accounting, and reporting for special projects and major grants.
• Ensure compliance with DRC financial regulations and World Vision’s financial policies.
• Prepare and present financial statements and audit documentation for donors and partners.
• Monitor expenditures, track grant disbursements, and support financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with program teams, health sector partners, and government authorities to integrate financial controls into project implementation.
• Strengthen financial systems and promote transparent financial practices across program areas.

Required profile

• Experience in financial management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Knowledge of grant financing and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
