Grants and Compliance Manager

About the role

The Grants and Compliance Manager will lead grant administration for the MobileAid for IDPs project in the Democratic Republic of Congo, funded by BHA‑USAID, and future USAID‑funded initiatives. Reporting to the Country Director and receiving technical guidance from the Senior Manager of Compliance and Grants Management in the United States, the role ensures full compliance across finance, procurement, HR, and operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end grant management, from start‑up through execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Coordinate compliance activities across finance, procurement, human resources, and operational domains.
• Collaborate with global grants, contracts, and compliance teams to align local policies with donor requirements.
• Develop and streamline processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Prepare and submit regular financial and narrative reports to USAID and other donors.
• Support audit preparation and respond to donor inquiries.

Required profile

• Experience managing large‑scale grants, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance standards, especially USAID and BHA.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, procurement, HR, and operations teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
