Head of Ground Operations

About the role

CompanyGlobe 24-7, in partnership with a leading commodity trading company, is seeking a Head of Ground Operations to lead day‑to‑day ground operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role involves coordinating logistics, managing stakeholder communication, and driving process improvements across African markets.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day ground operations and ensure priorities, deliveries and export timelines are achieved.
• Track commitments, deadlines and responsibilities across teams and sourcing locations.
• Identify and resolve logistics, documentation, supplier, customer and operational bottlenecks.
• Manage communication between Dubai, African outposts, suppliers, logistics partners and government authorities.
• Improve operating processes and help implement the operating model in new African markets.

Required profile

• 3–10 years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, business operations or similar roles.
• Experience in commodity trading, mining & metals, logistics, industrial or international trading, preferably in Central Africa.
• Strong operational discipline, accountability, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Comfortable working in rural/remote African environments and travelling frequently.
