Head of Logistics & Infrastructure for Kahuzi-Biega National Park

About the role

The Wildlife Conservation Society is looking for a dynamic Head of Logistics & Infrastructure to lead all logistics, procurement, fleet and infrastructure activities for Kahuzi‑Biega National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Based full‑time at the park headquarters in Tshivanga, you will work closely with the Director of Operations and the Park Director to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all activities comply with KBNP Social and Environmental Standards and WCS donor SOPs.
• Lead procurement, warehousing and supply functions, supervising staff in purchasing, stores and fleet.
• Oversee construction projects, guaranteeing compliance with Bills of Quantities, sketches and best practices.
• Implement and maintain equipment management systems, including tracking, inventories, disposals and replacements.
• Coordinate transportation, fleet usage and movement of personnel, partners and visitors according to security protocols.
• Maintain park roads, tracks, access points, vehicles, generators, water and electricity supplies.
• Manage permits, licenses and authorizations for aviation and telecommunications.
• Participate in Park Management Unit meetings and provide regular operational updates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of logistics, procurement or fleet management experience in remote, multicultural settings.
• Strong organisational abilities and a practical, hands‑on attitude.
• Experience working with international NGOs or the private sector.
