Head of Procurement – French Speaking

About the role

The Head of Procurement will lead the procurement function for a supply‑chain business operating in a complex maritime and public‑sector environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape regional sourcing strategy, build strong supplier partnerships and drive cost optimisation across a significant spend portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute regional procurement strategy, policies and processes.
• Negotiate strategic contracts and manage OEM/supplier relationships to ensure a resilient vendor base.
• Guarantee delivery quality, cost effectiveness and compliance with operational needs.
• Partner with regional and global stakeholders to support business initiatives, budgets and procurement performance.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Own procurement budgets, forecasts and cost‑saving targets.
• Strengthen policy compliance, mitigate supply risk and advance localisation and sustainability objectives.
• Support transformation projects and provide oversight for strategic procurement‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; professional procurement qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a regional or global diversified organization.
• Deep knowledge of commercial, sourcing and procurement within the region.
• Fluency in French is essential.
