Health, Nutrition & IPC Manager

About the role

The Health, Nutrition and IPC Manager will lead the planning and delivery of health, nutrition and infection prevention and control (IPC) components for the Kinga Maisha and MAPLE projects responding to the 17th Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Reporting to the Kinga Maisha Project Director, the role ensures alignment with national policies, WHO guidelines and Save the Children standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans for Kinga Maisha and MAPLE, meeting timelines, budget, quality and compliance requirements.
• Ensure health, nutrition and IPC interventions follow Save the Children and government technical guidance and SOPs.
• Coordinate with other Save the Children Project Managers in Ituri to harmonise interventions across health zones and centres.
• Provide technical input for Observation Care Centres, integrating clinical pathways, nutrition support and IPC measures.
• Lead forecasting, quantification, procurement planning and monitoring of medicines, medical commodities, nutrition products, IPC supplies and equipment.
• Supervise and mentor project teams, set priorities, evaluate performance and build capacity.
• Represent Save the Children in national and sub‑national health, nutrition and IPC coordination forums.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and document lessons learned for future public‑health emergencies.
