Hypercare Service Technician – Hydraulic & Electrical

About the role

The Hypercare Service Technician provides on‑site electrical and mechanical support for mining equipment, ensuring high reliability, availability and cost‑efficient performance. You will work in an underground production environment, collaborating with service operations, technical teams and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective actions on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Support planning and preparation of maintenance activities and document outcomes, root‑cause analysis and improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments, shift reporting and incident reporting in line with SOPs.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping (5S) and compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor and achieve key performance indicators and communicate operational status.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification or equivalent.
• Section 13 Trade Certificate (Electrical, Millwright, Mechanical).
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant underground mining experience.
• Willingness to work shifts and be away from home for the duration of the shift.
• Medically fit for underground work.
