Logistics & Inventory Specialist (Consultant)

About the role

The Logistics & Inventory Specialist will support i‑APS in delivering a third‑party physical food inventory count and visual inspection tender for the World Food Programme. The role involves reviewing procurement plans, analysing project documents, and overseeing the logistics of monitoring activities across WFP‑managed and third‑party warehouses.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse procurement plans and project documents related to WFP supply chain.
• Report on the status, implementation, and deadlines of tender processes.
• Oversee logistics of i‑APS monitoring activities, including physical inventory counts and visual inspections.
• Ensure accuracy, transparency and accountability in inventory management and reporting.

Required profile

• University degree in Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or inventory management.
• Demonstrated experience working with UN agencies and/or INGOs.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and the local country language.

• Strong computer skills for data access and processing.
• Ability to organise, plan and prioritise work effectively.
