Medical Manager – Ebola Treatment Center

About the role

The Medical Manager provides clinical leadership for the Ebola Treatment Centre (ETC) in Butembo, ensuring high‑quality patient care, strict adherence to SOPs and effective coordination with logistics and partner teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all clinical activities, ensuring compliance with Ebola case management guidelines and SOPs.
• Supervise ETC doctors, review treatment plans, and support management of complex or critically ill patients.
• Monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) measures, conduct clinical audits, and report safety incidents.
• Mentor and train medical staff, organise briefings, case reviews and capacity‑building sessions.
• Track consumption of medicines, supplies and PPE, forecast needs and prevent stock‑outs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, produce regular clinical and stock reports, and complete daily WHO‑linked entry reports.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor registered with an accredited medical council.
• Training in Ebola or viral haemorrhagic fever management and outbreak response (preferred).
• At least one year of overseas relief experience with an NGO in the health sector (preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work under emergency conditions.
