Nutrition & WASH Purpose Two Lead (USAID-funded)

About the role

Save the Children is looking for a senior Nutrition & WASH Purpose Two Lead to guide the design and implementation of a five‑year USAID‑funded Resilience Food Security Activity in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role will oversee integrated nutrition, water‑sanitation‑hygiene (WASH) and social‑behavior‑change (SBC) interventions aimed at improving food, nutrition and economic security for vulnerable households.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative SBC research in partnership with the MEAL team.
• Lead SBC strategy design, participatory implementation, and community‑level communication activities.
• Provide technical guidance on state‑of‑the‑art nutrition, WASH and SBC approaches, tools and job aids.
• Train and mentor staff on strategy execution and tool usage.
• Support the development of M&E indicators, evaluation designs, and field‑testing of materials.
• Strengthen community‑led advocacy and mobilization to address nutrition and WASH needs.
• Maintain professional relationships with public, private and community stakeholders.
• Supervise technical deliverables of consultants, design agencies and media partners.
• Ensure timely, high‑quality program deliverables and reporting.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in nutrition, public health, or a related social science discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience leading nutrition, WASH and SBC programming in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven ability to design and oversee multi‑sectoral interventions and to produce learning documentation.
