Partnerships Specialist (6‑month contract)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Partnerships Specialist to support its country office in Kinshasa during a critical Ebola response. Working under the Partnerships Manager, you will help scale resource mobilisation, re‑programming and reporting to ensure rapid, effective assistance for vulnerable children and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and submit high‑quality proposals and grant applications aligned with UNICEF’s emergency response priorities.
• Manage awarded grants, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and donor expectations.
• Engage existing and potential donors from public and private sectors to secure funding and in‑kind support.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align fundraising strategies with programme needs.
• Lead communication efforts to showcase impact and maintain transparent donor relationships.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in international relations, political science, communications, international development or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in public affairs, programme management, resource mobilisation, external relations or private‑sector engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex humanitarian settings with cultural sensitivity.
