People and Culture Officer – HR Business Partner (Kinshasa)

About the role

The People and Culture Officer will support UNICEF’s mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by delivering high‑quality human‑resources services. Reporting to the Chief People and Culture, you will act as an HR business partner to ensure the effective implementation of HR policies and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line managers to provide HR advice and support on recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
• Implement assigned HR services, including onboarding, learning and development initiatives, and HR data analytics.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of employee engagement and wellbeing programmes.
• Support the development of HR policies and ensure compliance with UNICEF standards.
• Assist in capacity‑building activities and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, International Relations, Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant HR experience in an international organization or large corporation.
• Proficient French and intermediate English.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to UNICEF’s core values and child‑rights focus.
