Procurement Manager – DRC

About the role

VillageReach is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role ensures that procurement activities are transparent, efficient, and compliant with internal policies, donor requirements, and national legislation while supporting the delivery of primary health care services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for procurement at the national level and supervise the procurement team.
• Develop and implement the country’s supply chain strategy aligned with VillageReach objectives.
• Create annual purchasing plans in collaboration with programs, finance, and operations.
• Oversee the full purchasing cycle, from planning to delivery, ensuring competition, transparency, and best value for money.
• Build and maintain a portfolio of qualified suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance.
• Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading procurement or supply chain teams in an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, donor compliance, and national legislation.
• Ability to develop strategic procurement plans and optimize processes for efficiency.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills to guide and evaluate team performance.
