Programme Manager - Humanitarian

About the role

The Programme Manager – Humanitarian will lead CAFOD’s humanitarian portfolio in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, ensuring that programmes align with the organisation’s Integral Ecology model and strategic objectives. This role combines programme design, partnership management and operational oversight to deliver effective, timely assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the humanitarian programme portfolio across the DRC.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with local and international partners.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and funding management for all projects.
• Ensure compliance with CAFOD systems, donor requirements and security protocols.
• Represent CAFOD internally and externally, advocating for programme priorities.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and performance oversight.

Required profile

• Significant experience in humanitarian programme or project management, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong understanding of anticipatory action, preparedness and cash‑based assistance.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse partners and stakeholders.
• Excellent financial and administrative management skills.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.
