Project Manager

About the role

Acasus is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a team of Associates and Senior Associates on high‑impact reforms in health and education across challenging environments, primarily in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. You will collaborate closely with senior government officials and international partners to design and implement solutions that improve citizens' lives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies that enhance public services for citizens.
• Set direction, pace, and priorities for the project team.
• Coach senior stakeholders and team members in problem‑solving and implementation.
• Lead the design, implementation, and improvement of systems and processes.
• Analyse data and evidence to inform decisions and recommendations.
• Coordinate document creation and present scenario‑based advice to government officials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior government officials and international partners.
• Plan and facilitate large stakeholder meetings, including under exceptional circumstances.
• Conduct interviews and support onboarding of new Associates and Senior Associates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in management or strategy consulting.
• Proven track record of working in the DRC.
• Experience leading a team of consultants.
• Fluent English with excellent communication abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving techniques, including advanced methods such as flipping problems and premortem analysis.
• High interpersonal skills and confidence in decision‑making.
• Motivation to help governments improve public services.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
