Project Manager – Responsible Mining Projects

About the role

SLR Better Mining is seeking a Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of client projects that improve mining supply chains across Africa. The role combines financial oversight, resource coordination, data‑driven analysis, and high‑quality client output.

Key responsibilities

• Own full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget.
• Develop, monitor and control detailed project budgets, forecasts and cost trackers.
• Allocate analysts and coordinate with in‑country teams to meet resourcing needs.
• Use project management tools (e.g., Asana) to structure workplans, manage dependencies and track progress.
• Lead analysis of field monitoring data, risk metrics and performance indicators, turning complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations.
• Produce client‑ready reports and presentations that align with responsible sourcing standards.

Required profile

• Professional consulting or advisory experience with a track record of managing complex workstreams.
• Strong financial discipline and ability to flag risks early.
• Excellent judgment, leadership and communication skills.
• Comfortable working across multiple African locations and traveling as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Asana or similar project management software.
• Financial budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Data analysis and translation of datasets into actionable insights.
