Quantity Surveyor – Large‑Scale Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quantity Surveyor to lead cost planning, procurement and financial control for large‑scale road and building projects in Lubumbashi.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary cost estimates, feasibility studies and detailed budgets at all design stages.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and tender documents, advising on cost‑efficient materials and methods.
• Assist in contractor/sub‑contractor selection, bid evaluation and negotiation of tender costs.
• Monitor project expenditures, forecast final costs and certify interim valuations and progress payments.
• Administer contracts under FIDIC conditions, manage variations, change orders and dispute resolution.
• Finalize accounts after construction, release retentions and provide post‑project cost analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Economics or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of site‑based supervision on large‑scale road and building projects.
• Strong knowledge of the DRC construction market and FIDIC contract conditions.
