Risk and Compliance Specialist (P-3) – Fixed Term in Kinshasa

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Risk and Compliance Specialist (P-3) to strengthen risk assurance and compliance across its Kinshasa country office. Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, you will help embed robust risk‑management practices and ensure adherence to internal controls, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk‑management support, including development and continuous improvement of risk‑management processes.
• Deliver compliance support and monitor adherence to organizational policies and regulations.
• Assist in fraud‑risk management, conducting investigations and recommending mitigation actions.
• Offer oversight and advisory services to senior management on risk and compliance matters.
• Raise awareness and build capacity among staff through training and communication.
• Coordinate with the regional office for additional support as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Business Administration, Financial Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management, Risk Management, Audit, Investigation, Internal Control or Statistics.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in risk and compliance, with significant exposure to internal audit and financial control.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze risk data, produce reports and advise on internal controls.
