SBC Officer (Digital) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Digital Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) Officer for a six‑month temporary appointment in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role supports the country’s emergency response to the Ebola outbreak by designing and implementing digital communication strategies that promote protective behaviours and counter misinformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement evidence‑based digital SBC and risk communication strategies.
• Manage digital communication channels, conduct social listening and gather community feedback.
• Coordinate with UNICEF specialists, government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs and implementing partners.
• Provide operational support for technology‑enabled engagement approaches.
• Contribute to capacity‑building, learning and scaling of digital SBC interventions.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in digital communication, social behaviour change or public health emergencies.
• Ability to work in a multi‑partner environment and adapt to evolving contexts.
• Strong coordination and partnership skills.
