Security and Access Officer

About the role

The Security and Access Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing all security and safety programs for the project. This includes emergency response drills, communication procedures, and physical protection measures to safeguard personnel, assets and intellectual property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and coordinate organization‑wide security programs and policies.
• Prepare risk and threat assessment reports and mitigation recommendations.
• Conduct field assessments, security and political risk analyses, and security surveys of office and residential premises.
• Provide security orientations, briefings and training for staff, contractors and visitors.
• Oversee movement control, transportation coordination and security provider performance.
• Escalate security incidents and recommend corrective actions to senior management.

Required profile

• Experience in security program development and incident coordination.
• Ability to interact with security professionals, vendors, authorities and community leaders.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor threat environments and produce actionable reports.
• Familiarity with humanitarian principles and compliance with local codes and regulations.
