Senior Accountant – Mining Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead the finance and accounting functions for our copper mining operations in the Republic of Congo. The role will ensure accurate daily reporting of production, inventory and sales, and will support cost analysis and budgeting in coordination with our head office in Hyderabad, India.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile daily production, inventory, sales and operational reports received from the mine owner and operations team.
• Prepare and submit daily production, inventory, closing stock and MIS reports to the Head Office.
• Monitor inventory movements, stock balances, material consumption and valuation.
• Analyze production costs, machinery operating expenses, diesel consumption and overall mining operational costs.
• Verify, reconcile and account for invoices, bills, expenses and supporting documents related to mining operations.
• Manage foreign‑currency conversions, multi‑currency transactions and related financial reporting.
• Identify discrepancies, variances and exceptions in production, inventory and financial reports and report them to management.
• Provide financial analysis, cost‑control inputs and budgeting support for operational decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in mining, manufacturing, metals or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, reconciliations and MIS reporting.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Experience with foreign‑currency conversion and international transactions.
• Ability to work independently in a remote mining environment and coordinate with international teams.
