Senior CPA – Real Estate Tax Specialist

About the role

Agora, a fast‑growing SaaS and FinTech platform for real‑estate investment firms, is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (US CPA) to lead its tax practice. This senior, client‑facing position combines technical tax expertise with strategic leadership, allowing you to shape service design, pricing, and market rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Provide final professional sign‑off on complex partnership tax returns for real‑estate sponsors, funds, family offices and operating entities.
• Advise clients on entity structuring, transaction planning, distributions and foreign‑investor considerations such as blockers, REITs and treaty benefits.
• Serve as senior point of contact for key accounts, leading kickoff meetings, planning sessions and year‑end tax strategy discussions.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate a team of onshore and offshore reviewers and preparers.
• Partner with senior leadership on service design, pricing strategy and go‑to‑market plans for tax offerings.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of experience in public accounting, primarily in partnership and real‑estate tax work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships from planning through delivery.
• Experience leading distributed tax teams and collaborating with offshore resources.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of influencing service development.

Required skills

• US CPA certification.
