Senior Officer – HR Expat Management

About the role

The Senior Officer – HR Expat Management will lead the end‑to‑end immigration workflow for expatriates at the Kibali Gold Mine. This role ensures full compliance with DRC immigration regulations, Barrick audit requirements, and provides seamless support for all expatriate logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage immigration processes including EVT, VVL, work permits, visa renewals and residence permits.
• Maintain real‑time dashboards tracking passport, visa and permit expiration dates.
• Coordinate pre‑arrival arrangements such as flights, accommodation, medical care and security.
• Handle exit procedures, permit cancellations, and document returns.
• Prepare immigration files for new expatriates and support audits globally.
• Provide emergency assistance for lost documents or travel disruptions.
• Develop SOPs and digital trackers to streamline immigration workflows.
• Collaborate with government offices, embassies, consultants and internal travel, aviation and security teams.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of DRC immigration regulations and Barrick compliance standards.
• Proven experience managing expatriate logistics and rotation schedules.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain confidential records.
• Proactive risk identification and escalation capabilities.
• Ability to build relationships with authorities, embassies and internal stakeholders.
