Senior Superintendent I – Finance

About the role

The Senior Superintendent I, Finance will lead and control finance operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Taxation and Treasury for the Kamoa Copper Mine. Reporting to senior leadership, the incumbent manages a team of managers and specialists to ensure robust financial governance and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Compile, continuously improve and monitor integrated finance structures, policies, plans and governance frameworks.
• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Perform financial analysis, budgeting and reporting activities to support decision‑making.
• Drive problem‑solving, continuous improvement and automation initiatives across the finance function.
• Act as the finance subject‑matter expert, managing stakeholder relationships and providing strategic guidance.
• Forecast, secure and manage the budget in line with the Delegation of Authority Matrix.
• Lead transformation projects, including digitisation, sustainability and change‑management programmes.
• Implement HSEQ work ethos and maintain integrated risk, quality, governance and compliance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 10 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Experience in the mining sector is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English required; French strongly advantageous for the DRC operating context.

Required skills

• Competence in mine financial systems and related legislation.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Ability to develop and implement financial policies.
• Knowledge of recognised financial operating systems.
