About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a motivated intern to join its Risk Management Unit in Kinshasa. The internship supports the Country Office’s effort to strengthen governance, validate internal controls, and ensure continuous assurance following an unsatisfactory internal audit.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in independent validation of audit recommendations and control frameworks.
• Support the documentation and sustainability of internal controls.
• Contribute to continuous assurance activities and risk monitoring.
• Collaborate with the Risk Management Unit to prepare reports and updates for senior staff.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a university program related to finance, law, public administration, or a similar field.
• Strong interest in governance, risk management, and compliance within a humanitarian context.
• Good analytical and written communication skills in English and French.
