Superintendent I – Facility Management

About the role

The Superintendent I, Facility Management will lead the delivery of integrated facility and support services for KICO operations at the Kipushi Project. The role ensures safe, cost‑effective, and compliant living and working environments for employees, expatriates, visitors and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day management of all KICO facilities, guest houses, offices and social areas.
• Coordinate room allocations, accommodation standards and related services for staff and visitors.
• Manage service providers for accommodation, catering, laundry and other facility services.
• Control costs, ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and maintain service level agreements.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Operate water and sewerage treatment plants and ensure proper equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Facilities Manager in an expatriate environment, with at least 4 years in Africa.
• At least 3 years managing medical staff and family support services in Africa.
• Proven experience in planning, coordinating and cost control.
• Good knowledge of IT packages and familiarity with the African mining sector is advantageous.
