Superintendent III – Control Systems Engineer

About the role

The Kamoa Copper Mine is seeking a Superintendent III to lead its control systems engineering function. You will ensure the power management system remains fully operational, supporting safe and efficient mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise specialist teams to maintain optimal operational conditions.
• Guarantee reliable power supply to all mining activities.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across functional lines.
• Monitor costs and drive cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Support transformation, automation, digitisation and sustainability programmes.
• Integrate HSEQ standards into all work processes.
• Contribute to reporting, governance and quality assurance for the area of responsibility.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Process Control.
• Minimum 5 years experience with C‑ and Java‑type programming.
• At least 5 years experience in electrical networks, substations, protection relays, switchgear, power factor correction, control systems, communication networks, PLCs and SCADA.
• 3 years experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC Professional and WinCC OA.
• 3 years extensive experience with MOXA and Siemens network switches.
