Technical Training Manager – Mining Operations

About the role

Kamoto Copper Company (KCC) is seeking a senior Technical Training Manager to lead the Technical Training Department at its Kolwezi site. Reporting to the General Manager – Human Resources, you will own the strategy, operation and budget for all technical training across mining, processing and safety disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a technical training strategy aligned with HR, production and safety objectives.
• Structure and manage the full training system covering open‑pit, underground, heavy mobile equipment, concentrator, refinery, HSE, trades and security.
• Design a complete skills‑development architecture: needs analysis, planning, delivery and evaluation.
• Ensure training programs meet quality, regulatory and performance standards, including up‑skilling, reskilling and certification.
• Manage the training budget, external providers and partnerships while delivering measurable ROI.
• Track training impact through KPIs, produce strategic reports and support technology‑driven transformation projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in the mining or heavy‑industrial sector.
• Proven experience leading technical departments or large multidisciplinary teams.
