Technology & Cost Business Partner Manager

About the role

The Finance Business Partner Technology Manager acts as the primary finance liaison for the Network and BIT departments, providing analytical insight and financial control over operating and capital expenditures. The role supports project appraisal, cost performance measurement, and the continuous improvement of reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and own analyses against budgets, re‑forecasts and historical periods.
• Develop and maintain cost models that capture capital and operating cost dynamics.
• Design and implement efficient cost accrual processes to meet month‑end deadlines.
• Participate in strategic meetings, delivering financial insights and supporting decision‑making.
• Prepare projections for technology investments and assist the project approval process.
• Lead the preparation of departmental budgets, long‑range plans and annual forecasts.
• Monitor and report on senior‑management performance targets, including ROI and cost‑control metrics.
• Support monthly close activities, ensuring accurate cost recording and variance explanations.
• Track Opex and Capex on a monthly and annual basis and provide performance dashboards for strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and technical accounting abilities.
• Proven experience in finance business partnering within technology environments.
• Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in developing financial models and reporting tools.
• Track record of driving cost‑control and efficiency initiatives.
