Warehouse Superintendent – Mining Operations

About the role

The Warehouse Superintendent will lead the warehouse function for Mutanda Mining, ensuring safe, efficient, and controlled storage, handling, and movement of materials across the operation. Reporting to the Manager of Inventory Management, the role is critical for maintaining high inventory accuracy and compliance with safety and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day warehouse activities, including receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, and dispatch.
• Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the ERP system and ensure timely updates.
• Optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, and material preservation.
• Oversee housekeeping, labeling, bin location controls, and FIFO compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• 3–5 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in mining, heavy industry or oil & gas.
• Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, JDE or Pronto.
• Strong leadership, people‑development and stakeholder‑management abilities.
