Administrative & Finance Officer

About the role

The Administrative & Finance Officer will support UNICEF’s emergency Ebola response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working under the supervision of the Operations Specialist, the incumbent ensures that administrative and financial services are delivered efficiently, on time, and in full compliance with UNICEF policies.

Key responsibilities

• Apply UNICEF administrative and financial policies, including Simplified Emergency Procedures, across field locations such as Bunia, Butembo and other affected sites.
• Coordinate essential office and field support services, covering travel, transport, asset management, local procurement, vendor follow‑up and office supplies.
• Maintain inventory, oversee maintenance and ensure proper use of office equipment, vehicles and premises required for rapid response deployment.
• Support basic operational arrangements needed for emergency activities, ensuring timely provision of resources.

Required profile

• Ability to ensure consistent application of UNICEF’s administrative and financial controls.
• Experience coordinating office and field logistics in a fast‑moving, emergency environment.
• Strong organisational skills to manage assets, supplies and procurement processes.
• Capacity to work under the supervision of an Operations Specialist and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
