Assistant Technique WASH

About the role

The Technical WASH Assistant will support ADRA's five‑year Resilient Food Security Activity (RFSA) in the Kasaï region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Wash Infrastructure Engineer and generally to the Objective 2 Lead, the assistant will coordinate and supervise all WASH‑related technical activities within one of the designated health zones.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and monitor implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene interventions in the assigned health zone.
• Support the design, cost estimation and quantitative budgeting of construction and rehabilitation works.
• Oversee contractors performing road, water and sanitation infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project standards.
• Provide technical advice to ADRA staff and partners on construction methods and WASH best practices.
• Collaborate closely with other Objective 2 team members and consortium partners to ensure integrated project delivery.

• Willingness to travel across multiple health zones in Kasaï.
