Associate/Manager – Marketing (DRC South, Pharma)

About the role

The successful candidate will drive the execution of regional marketing strategy, brand positioning and promotional plans for the DRC South market. Working closely with the field sales force and cross‑functional teams, the role aims to strengthen brand performance, improve execution and contribute to market share and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Execute regional marketing, brand and promotional plans, monitor campaign effectiveness through field visits and recommend improvements.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, promotions and customer needs; analyse sales data and provide actionable insights via monthly dashboards.
• Collaborate with the field sales force and key account managers to strengthen execution, engage KOLs and conduct product/scientific training.
• Develop liquidation plans for excess/short‑expiry stock and coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, regulatory and other functions to ensure business continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or related field; Master’s in Marketing or Business Management preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience driving regional marketing strategy in a multi‑country, matrix pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing, field‑force engagement, customer dynamics and market intelligence.
• Proven ability to work with sales and cross‑functional teams to translate strategy into market‑level execution.
• Analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills with high independence and resilience.
• Prior experience in Africa or other emerging markets is a strong advantage.
