Commodity & Logistics Manager – DR Congo

About the role

ADRA International is seeking an experienced Commodity & Logistics Manager to lead the supply chain for a USAID/BHA‑funded Resilience Food Security Activity in the Kasai Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role ensures that food commodities are sourced, stored, transported, and distributed safely and efficiently to vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end in‑kind food commodity supply chain from origin to final beneficiaries.
• Manage warehouses, coordinate transportation, customs clearance, and distribution logistics.
• Develop and monitor procurement plans in collaboration with program managers and budget holders.
• Prepare for internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain commodity quality and safety standards throughout the supply chain.
• Produce accurate donor reports and fulfill all reporting requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders, including local partners, government agencies, and donors, to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, food science, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in field operations.
• Extensive experience managing in‑kind food commodity supply chains in developing countries.
• Proven ability to maintain commodity quality, safety, and compliance with USAID/BHA regulations.
• Fluent in English and French; knowledge of local Congolese language is a plus.
• Experience working in the DRC and familiarity with Title II programming is desired.
