Coordinator, Ebola Treatment Center (ETC)

About the role

The ETC Coordinator provides strategic leadership and oversight of multiple Ebola Treatment Centers, ensuring high‑quality, safe patient care and strict compliance with national and international protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations across all ETCs, integrating clinical care, IPC, laboratory, logistics, WASH, nutrition, RCCE and data management.
• Enter the red zone regularly to supervise, mentor staff, verify protocol compliance and drive immediate improvements.
• Supervise Site Coordinators and technical leads, promote teamwork, accountability and a positive work environment.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives using key performance indicators and oversee resource management, budgeting and procurement.
• Represent ETCs in coordination meetings with health authorities, WHO and partners, and ensure robust reporting and data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) with postgraduate training in Public Health, Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology or equivalent, or senior public‑health professional with extensive Ebola/VHF experience.
• 6–8 years of outbreak response experience, including 3–4 years in senior coordination or management of ETCs or similar facilities.
• Proven strategic leadership in complex humanitarian or epidemic settings and fluency in French and English.
• Experience working inside the red zone with full biosafety compliance.
