Country Representative – Remittance Services (Kinshasa)

About the role

The Country Representative will lead the expansion of Ria Money Transfer’s remittance network in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Africa Managing Director and based in Kinshasa, you will build strategic partnerships with payout agents, banks and other financial institutions to ensure reliable, cost‑effective and compliant money‑transfer corridors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective money‑transfer correspondents, negotiate commercial terms, fees and service‑level agreements.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with existing partners, monitor service quality and explore opportunities for network growth.
• Conduct market research to pinpoint high‑demand corridors and underserved regions, supporting the development of growth strategies for the DRC.
• Coordinate with internal Compliance and Legal teams to verify AML/KYC compliance and liaise with the Central Bank of Congo on regulatory matters.
• Guide new partners through onboarding, technical integration and operational setup.
• Track correspondent performance metrics such as transaction success rates, speed and pricing, and provide regular reports to the Managing Director.

Required profile

• Fluent in French with strong English proficiency.
• Deep understanding of the financial sector in Central Africa; experience in the DRC is a plus.
• Proven business‑development track record and ability to lead partnership initiatives.
