Data and Analytics Manager – Health (Ebola Response)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Data and Analytics Manager to lead the Data, Digital Health Information Systems, and Modeling pillar of the Ebola response in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role will provide technical and operational leadership to ensure reliable, real‑time data supports effective decision‑making for vulnerable children and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen national systems for Ebola data management, governance and integration of digital surveillance tools.
• Ensure high‑quality, real‑time Ebola data collection, validation and reporting.
• Develop and maintain decision‑making dashboards and operational dashboards for the Country Office and Ministry of Health.
• Lead advanced epidemiological analyses and modeling to inform response strategies.
• Support capacity building of national partners in data and digital health systems.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in public health, epidemiology, data science, health informatics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in health data management, digital surveillance systems, or epidemiological modeling, preferably in emergency settings.
• Demonstrated experience working with national health authorities and multi‑sectoral partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
