Discipline Lead – Advisory Property & Buildings

About the role

WSP is seeking a Discipline Lead for Advisory Services within its Property & Buildings business across Africa. The role combines strategic market development, business development, technical leadership, and project oversight to build a market‑leading advisory practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a growth strategy for advisory services, focusing on technical transaction advisory, sustainable buildings, intelligent assets, digital transformation and development advisory.
• Lead business development activities, build executive‑level client relationships, and secure opportunities during strategy, feasibility, investment and transaction phases.
• Create and package market‑leading advisory propositions, delivery frameworks, pricing models and standardized deliverables.
• Provide executive oversight for advisory engagements, ensuring high‑quality delivery, commercial success, risk management and client satisfaction.
• Drive market visibility through thought leadership, conferences and industry engagement.
• Define the organisational structure, identify capability gaps and lead recruitment to support future growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading advisory services in property, buildings or related sectors.
• Strong track record in business development and client engagement at senior levels.
• Ability to design and implement service propositions, delivery frameworks and pricing models.
• Experience overseeing complex projects, ensuring quality, profitability and stakeholder satisfaction.
